Each wooden bird is lovingly carved from a custom-selected bit of timber to provide its own unique grain pattern and character and as each one is custom carved they are all slightly different in shape and size. These penguins have been carved from Rimu beams that were sourced from an old batch that was dismantled to make way for a new home. As such they will have small holes and some discoloration in places from the old nails. I really like this effect as it shows a bit of the history of where they came from.
Made from – Recycled Rimu.
Finished in Tung Oil.
